Educational Q&A

The verse highlights decisive action aligned with duty: once a course is chosen and words are spoken, a righteous king must act without hesitation. The conch and bow-sound function as ethical-symbolic signals of commitment to one’s responsibility in a just cause.

After delivering his statement, Yudhiṣṭhira departs immediately in haste. As he goes, he blows a fearsome conch and makes his great bow resound—martial signals that announce his movement and readiness in the ongoing battle.
