द्रोणपर्व — अध्याय १६२: प्रातःसंध्यायां युद्धप्रवृत्तिः तथा रजोमेघे संमूढता

ते वध्यमाना: पञ्चाला: समरे सह सृञ्जयै:

te vadhyamānāḥ pañcālāḥ samare saha sṛñjayaiḥ

Sañjaya dit : Les Pāñcālas, taillés en pièces dans la mêlée avec les Sṛñjayas, étaient massacrés au milieu du fracas des armes — image de l’élan inexorable de la guerre, qui entraîne des armées alliées entières vers la ruine.
