भीमसेन–अलायुधयुद्धम् / Bhīmasena and Alāyudha: Night Engagement and Command Responses
तादृग् रूप॑ कृतमिदं मम कार्य सुद्दत्तमै: । मोहाल्लुब्धस्य पापस्य जिद्दास्य धनमीहत:,मेरे परम सुह्ृद् कहलानेवालोंने मोहवश धन (राज्य) चाहनेवाले मुझ लोभी, पापी और कुटिलके इस कार्यको उसी प्रकार चौपट कर दिया है
tādṛg rūpaṃ kṛtam idaṃ mama kāryaṃ sudurmatibhiḥ | mohāl lubdhasya pāpasya jihīrṣoḥ dhanam īhataḥ ||
«Mon entreprise a été ruinée de la sorte par ces hommes entièrement égarés qui se disent mes plus proches amis. Par aveuglement, ils ont réduit à néant le dessein de moi —avide, pécheur et retors— qui m’efforçais de m’emparer des richesses et de la souveraineté.»
