अतीव सुमहत् कर्म कृतवानसि फाल्गुन । असहां चाविषहां च देवैरपि सवासवै:,'फाल्गुन! आज तुमने बड़ा भारी कर्म कर दिखाया। इसका सम्पादन करना अथवा इसके भारको सह लेना इन्द्रसहित सम्पूर्ण देवताओंके लिये भी असम्भव था
sañjaya uvāca |
atīva sumahat karma kṛtavān asi phālguna |
asahāṃ cāviṣahāṃ ca devair api savāsavaiḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : «Ô Phālguna (Arjuna), aujourd’hui tu as accompli un acte d’une grandeur extrême—si lourd et si redoutable que même les dieux, Indra compris, n’auraient pu en porter le fardeau ni le mener à son terme.»
संजय उवाच
Extraordinary responsibility undertaken for a righteous cause can exceed even imagined limits; true valor is measured not only by power but by the capacity to bear and complete a daunting duty (karma) in the service of dharma.
Sañjaya, narrating the battlefield events to Dhṛtarāṣṭra, praises Arjuna (Phālguna) for performing an immense and overwhelming feat in the war—so great that even the gods, including Indra, would find it impossible to endure or accomplish.
