अलंबलवधः (Alaṃbala-vadhaḥ) / The Slaying of Alaṃbala and the Advance toward Karṇa
अश्रुपूर्णमुखो दीनो वचन चेदमब्रवीत् । कृपाचार्यको बाणोंसे पीड़ित एवं मूर्च्छिंत देखकर महाधनुर्धर कुन्तीकुमार अर्जुन दयावश रथपर बैठे-बैठे ही विलाप करने लगे। उनके मुखपर आँसुओंकी धारा बह रही थी। वे दीनभावसे इस प्रकार कहने लगे-- ।।
aśrupūrṇamukho dīno vacanaṃ cedam abravīt | pśyann idaṃ mahāprājñaḥ kṣattā rājānam uktavān ||
Sañjaya dit : Le visage inondé de larmes et l’âme accablée, il prononça ces paroles. Voyant cela, le très sage kṣattā (chambellan) s’adressa au roi, lui parlant de la scène affligeante qui se déroulait dans la guerre.
