Sañjaya dit : Après avoir paré, par ses propres armes, les traits d’Aśvatthāmā et de Kṛpācārya, il frappa chacun d’eux à son tour de dix flèches—une riposte mesurée au cœur du combat, affirmant sa maîtrise sans cruauté superflue.
संजय उवाच

A warrior (as reported by Sañjaya) counters the incoming astras of Aśvatthāmā and Kṛpa with his own weapons, then strikes each opponent sequentially with ten arrows, demonstrating tactical superiority.
