अध्याय १४६ — निशायां सात्यकिदुर्योधनयुद्धम् / Chapter 146 — Night Battle: Sātyaki and Duryodhana; Śakuni’s Encirclement of Arjuna
संजय उवाच शृणु राजन्निहोत्पत्तिं शैनेयस्य यथा पुरा । यथा च भूरिश्रवसो यत्र ते संशयो नूप,संजयने कहा--राजन्! जिस विषयमें आपको संशय है, उसे स्पष्ट समझनेके लिये यहाँ पूर्वकालमें सात्यकि और भूरिश्रवाकी उत्पत्ति जिस प्रकार हुई थी, वह प्रसंग सुनिये
sañjaya uvāca | śṛṇu rājann ihotpattiṃ śaineyasya yathā purā | yathā ca bhūriśravaso yatra te saṃśayo nṛpa ||
Sañjaya dit : Ô roi, écoute ici le récit de la naissance et de l’origine de Śaineya (Sātyaki) tel qu’il fut aux temps anciens, et de même celui de Bhūriśravas, afin que, ô souverain, le doute qui te tourmente à ce sujet soit levé.
