Droṇa’s sweeping assault and the Abhimanyu–Jayadratha close-quarters episode
In crisis, loud confidence and public display are less valuable than disciplined discernment. Yudhiṣṭhira embodies dharmic leadership by seeking verified information through trustworthy sources and responding in a measured, proper way (yathānyāyam), rather than being swayed by battlefield noise.
After Droṇa forms an intention/pledge to capture Yudhiṣṭhira, the Kaurava troops celebrate with martial shouts and arm-clapping. Meanwhile Yudhiṣṭhira, through reliable informants, quickly learns Droṇa’s real plan and prepares accordingly.
