आहत्य दुन्दुर्भि भीम: शड्खं प्रथ्माप्पय चासकृत्‌ | विनद्य सिंहनादेन ज्यां विकर्षन्‌ पुन: पुन:,भीमसेनने बारंबार डंका पीटा और अनेक बार शंख बजाकर बारंबार धनुषकी प्रत्यंचा खींचते हुए सिंहके दहाड़नेके समान भयंकर गर्जना की

Transliteration

āhatya dundubhim bhīmaḥ śaṅkhaṃ prathamāpyayā cāsakṛt | vinadya siṃhanādena jyāṃ vikarṣan punaḥ punaḥ ||

Translation

Sañjaya dit : Bhīma, après avoir frappé le tambour de guerre, souffla maintes fois dans sa conque. Puis, tirant et retendant sans cesse la corde de son arc, il poussa un rugissement terrible, pareil à celui d’un lion—pour proclamer sa résolution, rallier les siens et jeter l’effroi dans les rangs adverses selon le devoir du champ de bataille.
