Educational Q&A

Even in the chaos of battle, Yudhiṣṭhira measures his actions by dharma: he seeks to discharge a fitting obligation toward an ally (Sātyaki) and acts deliberately, not impulsively—showing that ethical responsibility and gratitude remain binding amid war.

Sanjaya reports that Yudhiṣṭhira, after deciding internally that he must act in a way that fulfills his duty toward Sātyaki, instructs his charioteer to take him to Bhīma—indicating an urgent move to coordinate with Bhīma in response to the unfolding battlefield situation.
