प्रत्युद्ययु: समुदिता: पठचाला जयगद्धिन: । उस महासमरमें आपके पुत्रको आते देख विजयकी अभिलाषा रखनेवाले पांचाल सैनिक संघबद्ध हो उसका सामना करनेके लिये आगे बढ़े

pratyudyayuḥ samuditāḥ pāñcālā jayagṛddhinaḥ | asmin mahāsamare tava putram upāgataṃ dṛṣṭvā vijayābhilāṣiṇaḥ pāñcāla-sainikāḥ saṅghabaddhā bhūtvā tasya sāmanaṃ kartum agre jagmuḥ |

Sañjaya dit : Les Pāñcālas, rassemblés et avides de victoire, s’avancèrent en riposte. Dans cette grande bataille, voyant ton fils approcher, les soldats pãñcālas—poussés par le désir de vaincre—resserrèrent leurs rangs et marchèrent pour l’affronter.
