Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 114 — Karṇa–Bhīmasena Missile Exchange, Disarmament, and Arjuna’s Intervention
तस्माद् भीम निवर्तस्व मम चेदिच्छसि प्रियम् । “शत्रुदमन वीर! इस समय और भविष्यमें भी राजाकी रक्षा करना ही श्रेयस्कर है। तुम मेरा बल जानते हो और मैं तुम्हारा। अतः भीमसेन! यदि तुम मेरा प्रिय करना चाहते हो तो लौट जाओ
tasmād bhīma nivartasva mama cedicchasi priyam |
Sañjaya dit : «C’est pourquoi, ô Bhīma, rebrousse chemin—si tu veux faire ce qui m’est cher. En cet instant, et pour ce qui vient, le plus sage est de protéger le roi. Tu connais ma force, et je connais la tienne ; ainsi, Bhīmasena, si tu veux me plaire, retire-toi.»
