भीमकर्णसमागमः | Bhīma–Karṇa Encounter
बहूनि सुनृशंसानि कृतान्येतेन मानद । युष्मासु पापमतिना अपापेष्वेव नित्यदा,मानद! तुमलोग कभी इसकी बुराई नहीं करते थे, तो भी इस पापबुद्धि दुर्योधनने सदा तुमलोगोंके साथ बहुत-से क्रूरतापूर्ण बर्ताव किये हैं
bahūni sunṛśaṃsāni kṛtāny etena mānada | yuṣmāsu pāpamatinā apāpeṣv eva nityadā ||
Vāyu dit : «Ô dispensateur d’honneur, cet homme a commis bien des actes impitoyables contre vous. Bien que vous soyez sans faute, ce Duryodhana à l’esprit mauvais n’a cessé de se montrer cruel envers vous.»
वायुदेव उवाच
Cruelty toward the blameless is a clear mark of adharma. The verse frames Duryodhana’s conduct as repeatedly unethical, emphasizing that moral fault lies with the aggressor’s intention and actions, not with the innocent who endure them.
Vāyu speaks to a respected person (addressed as mānada), pointing out that Duryodhana—described as evil-minded—has long committed many harsh acts against them, despite their being without wrongdoing.
