द्रोणेन केकय-चेदि-वीरवधः

हंसकारण्डवाकीर्ण चक्रवाकोपशोभितम् । सुविस्तीर्ण प्रसन्नाम्भ: प्रफल्लवरपड्कजम्,उसमें हंस और कारण्डव आदि जलपक्षी भरे हुए थे, चक्रवाक उसकी शोभा बढ़ा रहे थे। स्वच्छ जलसे युक्त उस विशाल सरोवरमें सुन्दर कमल खिले हुए थे
haṃsakāraṇḍavākīrṇaṃ cakravākopaśobhitam | suvistīrṇa-prasannāmbhaḥ praphallavarapaṅkajam ||
Sañjaya dit : Le lac était rempli de cygnes et d’oiseaux d’eau kāraṇḍava, et sa beauté était rehaussée par les cakravāka. Vaste et étendu, il portait des eaux limpides et paisibles, et se parait de lotus d’excellence en pleine floraison.
