Sañjaya dit : Le puissant Arjuna, par ses propres armes, para de toutes parts les traits des ennemis, puis, d’un mouvement rapide, les couvrit tous d’une pluie de flèches si serrée.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights controlled strength: a warrior’s excellence lies not merely in attack but in disciplined defense—neutralizing hostile force and then acting decisively to end the threat. Ethically, it reflects kṣatriya-dharma as skill guided by restraint and purpose rather than uncontrolled violence.
Sañjaya describes Arjuna in the thick of battle: he blocks the enemy’s incoming missiles from every direction using corresponding weapons, and then rapidly blankets the opposing fighters with a heavy volley of arrows, gaining tactical dominance.
