भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ९६: सौभद्रस्य आक्रमणम्, अलम्बुसस्य प्रतिविधानम्
Abhimanyu’s assault; Alambusa’s counter-engagement
गच्छ रक्षस्व हैडिम्बं संशयं परमं गतम् । “उनकी रक्षाके लिये अर्जुन शत्रुओंसे युद्ध करते हैं। महाबाहो! अपने ऊपर दो कार्य उपस्थित हैं, ऐसा जानकर तुम जाओ और अत्यन्त संशयमें पड़े हुए हिडिम्बाकुमारकी रक्षा करो” ।।
sañjaya uvāca |
gaccha rakṣasva haiḍimbaṃ saṃśayaṃ paramaṃ gatam |
mahābāho! tvayi dve kārye upasthite iti jñātvā tvaṃ gaccha, atyanta-saṃśaye patitaṃ haiḍimbakumāraṃ rakṣasva |
bhrātur vacanam ājñāya tvaramāṇo vṛkodaraḥ |
Sañjaya dit : « Va — protège le fils de Hiḍimbā, tombé dans le plus profond des doutes. Ô toi aux bras puissants, sachant que deux devoirs te font face, pars sans délai et sauvegarde le prince de Hiḍimba, accablé d’incertitude. » Entendant l’ordre de son frère, Vṛkodara se hâta d’agir.
