भीमो5प्यथैनं सहसा विनद्य प्रत्युद्ययौ गदया तर्जयान:,तब भीमसेन भी सहसा सिंहनाद करके गदाद्वारा गर्जन-तर्जन करते हुए जयद्रथकी ओर बढ़े

bhīmo 'py athainaṃ sahasā vinadya pratyudyayau gadayā tarjayān |
Sañjaya dit : Alors Bhīma, lui aussi, poussa soudain un rugissement et s’avança à sa rencontre—brandissant sa massue et proférant de farouches menaces. Dans l’éthique du combat, ce cri de lion et ce défi direct marquent la résolution d’un guerrier : affronter l’adversaire au grand jour, face à face, sans détour.
