अध्याय ८० — मध्यंदिन-रणवृत्तान्तः
Yudhiṣṭhira–Śrutāyu encounter; Cekitāna–Gautama clash; Abhimanyu pressure; Arjuna’s redeployment
तत्प्रभग्नं बल॑ दृष्टवा द्रोणेनामिततेजसा । नाशवनुवन् वारयितुं समस्तास्ते महारथा:,अमिततेजस्वी आचार्य द्रोणके द्वारा अपनी सेनाका व्यूह भंग हुआ देख वे सम्पूर्ण महारथी प्रयत्न करनेपर भी उसे रोकनेमें सफल न हो सके
tatprabhagnaṃ balaṃ dṛṣṭvā droṇenāmitatejasā | nāśakan nu vārayituṃ samastās te mahārathāḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : Voyant leur formation brisée par Droṇa, d’un éclat sans mesure, tous ces grands guerriers de char, même agissant de concert, ne purent l’arrêter.
