इन्द्रायुधसवर्ण तु विस्फार्य सुमहद्‌ धनु: । सृष्टवान्‌ वजसंकाशान्‌ शरानाशीविषोपमान्‌

indrāyudhasavarṇa tu visphārya sumahad dhanuḥ | sṛṣṭavān vajasaṅkāśān śarān āśīviṣopamān ||

Sañjaya dit : Ayant bandé jusqu’au bout son arc immense, dont la teinte rappelait l’arc-en-ciel d’Indra, il décocha des flèches éclatantes comme des vajras, aussi meurtrières que des serpents venimeux.
