भीष्मस्य भीमसेन-निरोधः

अश्रिनौ श्रवणाौ नित्यं देवी जिह्नला सरस्वती । वेदा: संस्कारनिष्ठा हि त्वयीदं जगदाश्रितम्,अश्विनीकुमार आपके कान और सरस्वती देवी आपकी जिह्ढा हैं। वेद आपकी संस्कारनिष्ठा हैं। यह जगत् सदा आपहीके आधारपर टिका हुआ है
aśvinau śravaṇau nityaṃ devī jihvā sarasvatī | vedāḥ saṃskāra-niṣṭhā hi tvayi idaṃ jagad āśritam ||
Bhīṣma dit : «Les deux Aśvin jumeaux sont à jamais Tes oreilles, et la déesse Sarasvatī est Ta langue. Les Veda sont Ton fondement inébranlable de discipline sacrée et d’ordre consacré. Sur Toi seul repose continuellement le monde entier pour son soutien.»
