सो$भिद्रवन् भीष्ममनीकम ध्ये क्रुद्धों महेन्द्रावरज: प्रमाथी । व्यालम्बिपीतान्तपटकश्षुकाशे घनो यथा खे तडितावनद्ध:
so 'bhidravan bhīṣmam anīkamadhye kruddho mahendrāvarajaḥ pramāthī | vyālambipītāntapaṭaḥ śukāśe ghano yathā khe taḍitāvanaddhaḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : Alors Kṛṣṇa—le cadet d’Indra, le puissant broyeur d’ennemis—se rua, furieux, vers Bhīṣma, au cœur même de l’armée. Tandis qu’il chargeait, l’extrémité de son vêtement jaune (pītāmbara) pendait et claquait au vent sur sa forme sombre, lui donnant l’éclat d’un nuage noir dans le ciel ceint d’éclairs.
