राजन! तब लक्ष्मणने भी पुन: एक बाण मारकर उसके धनुषको, जहाँ मुट्ठी रखी जाती है, वहींसे काट दिया। यह देख आपके सैनिक हर्षसे कोलाहल कर उठे ।। तद् विहाय धनुश्कछिन्नं सौभद्र: परवीरहा । अन्यदादत्तवांक्षित्रं कार्मुकं वेगवत्तरम्,शत्रुवीरोंका संहार करनेवाले सुभद्राकुमारने उस कटे हुए धनुषको फेंककर दूसरा विचित्र धनुष हाथमें लिया, जो अत्यन्त वेगशाली था
rājan! tataḥ lakṣmaṇena api punaḥ eka-bāṇaṃ muktvā tasya dhanuḥ yatra muṣṭiḥ nidhīyate tatraiva chittvā pātitam. tad dṛṣṭvā tava sainikāḥ harṣeṇa kolāhalaṃ cakruḥ. tad vihāya dhanuś-chinnaṃ saubhadraḥ paravīra-hā anyad ādatta vicitraṃ kārmukaṃ vegavattaram.
Sañjaya dit : Ô Roi, alors Lakṣmaṇa décocha de nouveau une seule flèche et trancha l’arc de son adversaire précisément à la poignée. À cette vue, tes soldats poussèrent une clameur de joie. Jetant l’arc brisé, Saubhadra — pourfendeur des champions ennemis — saisit un autre arc magnifique, d’une force plus rapide encore.
