सात्यको5पि ततस्तूर्ण भीमस्य प्रियकाम्यया । गाड़ेयसारथिं तूर्ण पातयामास सायकैः,इधर सात्यकिने भी भीमसेनका प्रिय करनेकी इच्छासे भीष्मके सारथिको तुरंत ही अपने सायकोंद्वारा मार गिराया
sātyako 'pi tatas tūrṇaṃ bhīmasya priyakāmyayā | gāḍeyasārathiṃ tūrṇaṃ pātayāmāsa sāyakaiḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : Alors Sātyaki aussi agit avec promptitude ; désireux de plaire à Bhīma, il abattit aussitôt de ses flèches le cocher de Gāḍeya. Le vers souligne comment la loyauté personnelle et l’envie de satisfaire un allié peuvent attiser la violence dans le brouillard moral du combat.
