Rajo-dhūli-saṃmūḍha-saṅgrāmaḥ
The Dust-Obscured Battle and Mutual Charges
सर्व बल॑ परित्यज्य दुर्ग संश्रित्य तिष्तति
sarva-balaṁ parityajya durgaṁ saṁśritya tiṣṭhati
Dhṛtarāṣṭra dit : «Ayant renoncé à tout appui militaire, il se réfugia dans une forteresse et y demeura. D’abord, il s’était retiré de toute l’armée et se cachait seul dans le bastion ; puis, sous la pression de la vaillance des Pāṇḍava, il vécut en des contrées difficiles d’accès, entravant sans cesse l’ennemi tout en observant la conduite des justes.»
