Exclusive devotion to the Divine can signify a decisive ethical turning point: even someone with a flawed past should be regarded as ‘good’ when their commitment is firmly and rightly set, because sincere devotion initiates inner reform and reorientation toward dharma.
In the Bhagavad Gita dialogue within the Bhishma Parva, Arjuna is in conversation with Krishna on the battlefield. This verse conveys Krishna’s principle that unwavering devotion is a powerful marker of spiritual and moral realignment, shaping how one should evaluate a person’s character amid the broader crisis of war and duty.
