निर्मन्युर्गतसंरम्भ: कृतकर्मा रणे सम ह । यथाशक्ति यथोत्साहं सतां वृत्तेषु वृत्तवान्
nirmanyur gatasarambhaḥ kṛtakarmā raṇe samaḥ | yathāśakti yathotsāhaṃ satāṃ vṛtteṣu vṛttavān ||
Bhīṣma dit : «Délivré du ressentiment et l’emportement de ta colère apaisé, tiens-toi ferme dans la conduite des justes, agissant selon ta force et ton ardeur. Tu as déjà prouvé ta vaillance sur le champ de bataille, et tu es, de surcroît, un homme de discipline ; combats donc sans sombrer dans l’abattement ni te laisser mener par la colère.»
भीष्म उवाच
To fight in accordance with dharma: abandon dejection and anger, remain steady-minded, and act within one’s capacity and rightful zeal while following the conduct of the virtuous.
Bhīṣma addresses a warrior (in the Bhīṣma Parva battle context), urging him to maintain composure and righteous conduct, reminding him that he has already demonstrated valor and is known for good discipline.
