यावन्न ते चमू: सर्वा: शरै: संनतपर्वभि: | नाशयत्यर्जुनस्तावत् संधिस्ते तात युज्यताम्,“तात! जबतक अर्जुन झुकी हुई गाँठवाले बाणोंद्वारा तुम्हारी सारी सेनाका विनाश नहीं कर डालते हैं, तभीतक उनके साथ तुम्हारी संधि हो जानी चाहिये
yāvanna te camūḥ sarvāḥ śaraiḥ sannatapārvarbhiḥ | nāśayatyarjunastāvat sandhiste tāta yujyatām ||
Sañjaya dit : «Mon cher fils, avant qu’Arjuna ne détruise toute ton armée de ses flèches—des traits dont les jointures sont courbées vers le bas—conclus un accord avec lui. Avant que la ruine ne devienne inévitable, choisis la réconciliation plutôt que l’orgueil qui mène au carnage.»
