Shloka 496

न चक्ुस्ते रुजं तस्य रुक्मपुड्खा: शिलाशिता: । महारथी शिखण्डीने रणक्षेत्रमें जिनका प्रयोग किया था

na cakṣuste rujaṃ tasya rukmapuṅkhāḥ śilāśitāḥ |

Sañjaya dit : Même les flèches aux plumes d’or, aiguisées sur la pierre, ne purent lui causer ni blessure ni douleur. Ainsi, sur le champ de bataille, les volées de Śikhaṇḍin échouèrent à atteindre Bhīṣma—soulignant l’invulnérabilité guerrière hors du commun de Bhīṣma et les conditions fatidiques, lourdes de dharma, sous lesquelles seulement il pouvait être terrassé.
