सर्वगात्रेषु संक्रुद्ध: सर्वमर्मस्वताडयत् । तत्पश्चात् पुनः उन्होंने अत्यन्त कुपित हो शीघ्रतापूर्वक सौ बाणोंद्वारा भीष्मके सम्पूर्ण अंगों और सभी मर्मस्थानोंमें आघात किया
sarvagātreṣu saṁkruddhaḥ sarvamarmasvatāḍayat | tatpaścāt punaḥ
Sañjaya dit : La colère envahissant chacun de ses membres, il frappa tous les points vitaux. Puis, de nouveau, il reprit l’assaut—poussé par la fureur—et, avec hâte, lança cent flèches, atteignant tous les membres et chaque marma, les centres de vie de Bhīṣma ; sombre rappel qu’en guerre la colère ne cherche pas seulement la victoire, mais la rupture même des appuis de la vie chez l’adversaire.
