सम्भ्रमश्न महानासीत् त्रिदशानां विशाम्पते । पतिष्यति रथाद् भीष्मे सर्वलोकप्रिये तदा,प्रजानाथ! सम्पूर्ण लोकोंके प्रिय भीष्म रथसे गिरना चाहते हैं, यह जानकर उस समय सम्पूर्ण देवताओंको भी महान् आश्चर्य हुआ
saṁbhramaś ca mahān āsīt tridaśānāṁ viśāmpate | patiṣyati rathād bhīṣme sarvalokapriye tadā prajānātha ||
Sañjaya dit : «Ô seigneur des peuples, une grande agitation s’éleva parmi les dieux. Car lorsqu’ils comprirent que Bhīṣma —aimé de tous les mondes— allait alors tomber de son char, même les êtres célestes furent saisis d’étonnement.»
