गजाश्व रथसड्घाश्न बहुधा रथिभिहता: । रथाश्ष निहता नागैहयाश्रैव पदातिभि:
gajāśva-ratha-saṅghāś ca bahudhā rathibhir hatāḥ | rathāś ca nihatā nāgair hayāś caiva padātibhiḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : De bien des façons, les masses d’éléphants, de chevaux et les formations de chars furent taillées en pièces par les guerriers de char. Des chars furent broyés par les éléphants, et les fantassins abattirent bien des chevaux avec leurs cavaliers—montrant que, dans la fureur du combat, chaque corps d’armée devenait à la fois chasseur et proie.
