जग्मुस्ते परलोकाय व्यादितास्यमिवान्तकम् | वे युद्धसे पीठ न दिखानेवाले
sañjaya uvāca | jagmus te paralokāya vyāditāsyam ivāntakam |
Sañjaya dit : Ces guerriers gagnèrent l’au-delà, comme s’ils entraient dans la Mort elle‑même, la bouche béante. Inébranlables au combat—ne montrant jamais leur dos—doués de vaillance et portant des étendards d’or, ils s’avancèrent sur Bhīṣma ; puis, avec leurs chevaux, leurs chars et leurs éléphants, ils devinrent des voyageurs sur la route du monde prochain.
