अमोघा न्यपतन् बाणा: पितुस्ते मनुजेश्वर । नासज्जन्त शरीरेषु भीष्मचापच्युता: शरा:,मनुजेश्वर! आपके ताऊके द्वारा चलाये हुए बाण कभी खाली नहीं जाते थे। भीष्मके धनुषसे छूटे हुए सायक मनुष्योंके शरीरोंमें नहीं अटकते थे
amoghā nyapatan bāṇāḥ pitus te manujeśvara | nāsajjanta śarīreṣu bhīṣma-cāpa-cyutāḥ śarāḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : Ô seigneur des hommes, les flèches de ton père ne tombaient jamais en vain. Les traits lâchés par l’arc de Bhīṣma ne demeuraient pas fichés dans les corps : tant ils étaient rapides et puissants, ils les transperçaient sans être arrêtés.
