तस्मिन्नयुतशो राजन भूयशश्व परंतप: । भीष्म: शान्तनवो योधाञ्जघान परमास्त्रवित्
tasminn ayutaśo rājan bhūyaś ca parantapaḥ | bhīṣmaḥ śāntanavo yodhān jaghāna paramāstravit ||
Sañjaya dit : «Dans cette bataille, ô roi, Bhīṣma—fils de Śāntanu, fléau des ennemis et souverain connaisseur des armes célestes—abattit, encore et encore, des guerriers par dizaines de milliers.
