भीष्मस्य जलप्रार्थना — अर्जुनस्य पर्जन्यास्त्रप्रयोगः — दुर्योधनं प्रति सन्ध्युपदेशः

विरथ॑ सैन्धवं चक्रे सर्वलोकस्य पश्यत: । आर्य! वहाँ पाण्डुनन्दन भीमसेनने रणक्षेत्रमें यह अद्भुत कर्म किया कि सब महारथियोंको बाणोंसे घायल करके रोक दिया और सब लोगोंके देखते-देखते सिन्धुराजको रथहीन कर दिया
sañjaya uvāca | virathaṃ saindhavaṃ cakre sarvalokasya paśyataḥ |
Sañjaya dit : Sous les yeux de tous, Bhīmasena, fils de Pāṇḍu, accomplit sur le champ de bataille un prodige : il arrêta les plus grands guerriers en les blessant de ses flèches, et, au vu de la foule, il priva le roi du Sindhu (Jayadratha) de son char.
