एतत्‌ कुरुष्व कौन्तेय यथोक्तं मम सुव्रत । संग्रामे धार्तराष्ट्रां श्ष हन्या: सर्वान्‌ समागतान्‌,उत्तम व्रतका पालन करनेवाले कुन्तीपुत्र युधिष्ठिर! तुम मेरे ऊपर जैसे मैंने बतायी है, वैसी ही नीतिका प्रयोग करो। ऐसा करके ही तुम रणक्षेत्रमें आये हुए सम्पूर्ण धृतराष्ट्रपुत्रों एवं उनके सैनिकोंको मार सकते हो

Transliteration

etat kuruṣva kaunteya yathoktaṁ mama suvrata | saṅgrāme dhārtarāṣṭrāṁś ca hanyāḥ sarvān samāgatān ||

Translation

Bhīṣma dit : «Ô fils de Kuntī, ferme dans les vœux nobles, fais exactement ce que je t’ai prescrit. Ce n’est qu’en appliquant cette stratégie au combat que tu pourras abattre tous les fils de Dhṛtarāṣṭra et leurs troupes rassemblées sur le champ de bataille.»
