तद् वयं सहिता गत्वा भीष्ममाशु नरोत्तमम् | नचिरात् सर्वे वार्ष्णेय मन्त्रं पृष्छाम कौरवम्,वृष्णिनन्दन! हम सब लोग शीघ्र ही एक साथ कुरुवंशी नरश्रेष्ठ भीष्मके पास चलें और उनसे सलाह लें
tad vayaṃ sahitā gatvā bhīṣmam āśu narottamam | nacirāt sarve vārṣṇeya mantraṃ pṛcchāma kauravam, vṛṣṇinandana ||
«Allons donc tous ensemble, sur-le-champ, auprès de Bhīṣma, le meilleur des hommes parmi les Kurus. Sans tarder, ô Vārṣṇeya—joie des Vṛṣṇis—demandons-lui conseil.»
