Bhīmasena’s Engagement with Multiple Mahārathas

The verse highlights how divine power and beauty are not merely ornamental but accompany urgent, righteous action in a moment of moral peril. Kṛṣṇa’s splendor while rushing toward Bhīṣma signals the gravity of protecting dharma even amid the chaos of battle.
Sañjaya describes Kṛṣṇa (Janārdana), dressed in yellow silk and dark as a sapphire, rushing toward Bhīṣma. His appearance is compared to a dark cloud streaked with lightning, emphasizing speed, majesty, and the charged atmosphere of the battlefield.
