सैन्यसंनिवेशः (Sainyasaṃniveśaḥ) — Deployment, Omens, and Yuddha-Dharma Conventions
एकस्था: सर्ववर्णास्ति मण्डलं बहुयोजनम् । पर्याक्रामन्त देशांश्ष नदी: शैलान् वनानि च,वहाँ सभी वर्णके लोग एक ही स्थानपर एकत्र थे। युद्धभूमिका घेरा कई योजन लंबा था। उन सब लोगोंने वहाँके अनेक प्रदेशों, नदियों, पर्वतों और वनोंको सब ओरसे घेर लिया था
ekasthāḥ sarvavarṇāsti maṇḍalaṃ bahuyojanam | paryākrāmanta deśāṃś ca nadīḥ śailān vanāni ca ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana dit : Tous les ordres de la société étaient rassemblés en un même lieu. L’anneau qui ceignait le champ de bataille s’étendait sur de nombreux yojanas. De toutes parts, ils avaient encerclé la contrée—ses terres, ses rivières, ses montagnes et ses forêts.
