Marutta’s Sacrifice and Agni’s Embassy (मरुत्त-यज्ञे दूतत्वम्)
मरुत्त उवाच कच्चिच्छीमान् देवराज: सुखी च कच्चिच्चास्मान् प्रीयते धूमकेतो । कच्चिद्दवेवा अस्य वशे यथावत् प्रब्रृहि त्वं मम कार्त्स्न्येन देव
Marutta uvāca: kaccic chrīmān devarājaḥ sukhī ca kaccic cāsmān prīyate dhūmaketo | kaccid devā asya vaśe yathāvat prabrūhi tvaṁ mama kārtsnyena deva ||
Marutta dit : «Le glorieux roi des dieux est-il vraiment en paix et dans la joie ? Ô Dhūmaketu, est-il satisfait de nous ? Et tous les dieux demeurent-ils, comme il se doit, sous son commandement ? Ô être divin, dis-moi tout cela entièrement et avec exactitude.»
