Inquiry into the cause of Arjuna’s recurring hardship
Book 14, Chapter 89
This is a colophon-style closure rather than a doctrinal verse: it emphasizes orderly transmission of scripture and signals that the narrative is moving toward the ethical-political restoration of dharma through a royal rite (Aśvamedha) after the war.
Vaiśampāyana formally concludes the eighty-eighth chapter of the Anugītā section within the Aśvamedhika Parva, indicating that the topic has been the beginning of the Aśvamedha sacrifice and that the text is transitioning to the next unit.
