पाण्डव-वृष्णि-समागमः तथा अश्वमेध-अनुज्ञा | Reunion at the Kuru Court and Authorization of the Aśvamedha
तान् समीपगतान श्रु॒त्वा निर्ययुर्वृष्णिपुड्रवा:,वृष्णिवंशके प्रमुख वीरोंने जब सुना कि पाण्डव लोग नगरके समीप आ गये हैं, तब वे उनकी अगवानीके लिये बाहर निकले
tān samīpagatān śrutvā niryayur vṛṣṇipuṅgavāḥ
Vaiśampāyana dit : Ayant appris que les Pāṇḍava s’étaient approchés de la cité, les plus grands héros de la lignée des Vṛṣṇi sortirent à leur rencontre — geste de courtoisie et devoir de parenté, signe de respect et de volonté d’accueillir les hôtes selon le dharma.
