इस प्रकार श्रीमह्ााभारत आश्वमेधिकपर्वके अन्तर्गत अनुगीतापर्वमें परीक्षित॒के जन्मका वर्णनविषयक छाछठवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
iti prakāraṁ śrī-mahābhārata āśvamedhika-parvake antargata anugītā-parvaṇi parīkṣitasya janma-varṇana-viṣayakaḥ ṣaṭ-ṣaṣṭitamaḥ adhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ abhavat
Ainsi s’achève le soixante-sixième chapitre de la section de l’Anugītā, incluse dans l’Aśvamedhika Parva du vénérable Mahābhārata, consacré au récit de la naissance de Parīkṣit. Le narrateur marque l’achèvement de cet ensemble, présentant l’épisode comme une continuation majeure du dharma après la guerre : la lignée, la responsabilité et le rétablissement de l’ordre juste s’y trouvent réaffirmés par l’avènement du nouvel héritier.
