Parīkṣit-janma-saṃkaṭa and Kuntī’s petition to Vāsudeva (परिक्षिज्जन्मसंकटं कुन्त्याः प्रार्थना च)
सा पुराभिमुखा राजन्नुवाह महती चमू: । कृच्छाद् द्रविणभारार्ता हर्षयन्ती कुरूद्वहान्
sā purābhimukhā rājann uvāha mahatī camūḥ | kṛcchād draviṇabhārārtā harṣayantī kurūdvahān ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : « Ô Roi, cette vaste armée s’avança vers la cité. Accablée par le lourd fardeau des richesses, elle ne progressait qu’avec grande difficulté ; et pourtant, en portant ce trésor, elle augmentait la joie et la fierté des plus éminents héros des Kurus. »
