Chapter 6
देवर्षिणा समागम्य नारदेन स पार्थिव: । विधिवत् प्राउ्जलिस्तस्थावथैनं नारदो<ब्रवीत्,देवर्षि नारदके साथ समागम होनेपर राजा मरुत्त यथाविधि हाथ जोड़कर खड़े हो गये। तब नारदजीने उनसे कहा--
devarṣiṇā samāgamya nāradena sa pārthivaḥ | vidhivat prāñjalistasthāv athainaṃ nārado 'bravīt ||
Vyāsa dit : Ayant rencontré le voyant divin Nārada, le roi se tint devant lui, les mains jointes, selon le rite et avec la révérence due. Alors Nārada s’adressa à lui—
व्यास उवाच
The verse highlights dhārmic conduct through proper etiquette: a ruler should approach spiritual authority with humility, disciplined posture, and reverence (prāñjali, vidhivat), establishing readiness to receive counsel.
Vyāsa narrates that the king meets the sage Nārada, stands respectfully with folded hands, and then Nārada begins to speak to him, marking the start of an instructive exchange.
