पताकाभिरवविंचित्राभि: सघण्टाभि: समन्ततः । पुम्भि: स्त्रीभिश्व संघुष्ट: प्रणित इव चाभवत्,चारों ओर विचित्र पताकाएँ फहरा रही थीं, उनमें बँधी हुई घण्टियाँ बज रही थीं और स्त्रियों तथा पुरुषोंके सुमधुर शब्द वहाँ व्याप्त हो रहे थे। इससे वह पर्वत संगीतमय-सा प्रतीत हो रहा था

patākābhir avavicitrābhiḥ saghaṇṭābhiḥ samantataḥ |
pumbhiḥ strībhiś ca saṅghuṣṭaḥ praṇīta iva cābhavat ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : Tout autour, le lieu était paré de bannières aux couleurs variées, et les clochettes qui y étaient attachées tintaient. Empli des sons agréables des hommes et des femmes, on eût dit que la montagne elle-même avait été menée dans la musique, vivante d’une harmonie de fête.
