गौतम उवाच त्वत्प्रीतियुक्तेन मया गुरुशुश्रूषया तव । व्यतिक्रामन्महाकालो नावबुद्धो द्विजर्षभ
Gautama uvāca: tvat-prīti-yuktena mayā guru-śuśrūṣayā tava | vyatikrāman mahā-kālo nāvabuddho dvijarṣabha ||
Gautama dit : «Parce que j’ai été rempli d’affection pour toi, en raison de ton service dévoué envers ton maître, un long temps s’est écoulé — et je ne m’en suis même pas aperçu, ô meilleur des deux-fois-nés.»
