Uttanka’s Viśvarūpa Request and the ‘Uttanka Clouds’ Boon
This line itself does not state a teaching; it is a colophon. Its function is to frame the preceding material as part of Kṛṣṇa’s Anugītā instruction, where ethical and dharmic guidance is conveyed through discourse and illustrative episodes such as the Uttaḍaka narrative.
The chapter is being formally closed. The colophon identifies the textual location (Aśvamedhika Parva, Anugītā section), the embedded episode (Uttaḍaka-upākhyāna), and the speaker-context (Kṛṣṇa’s discourse), signaling the end of Adhyāya 54.
