Uttanka’s Inquiry and Vāsudeva’s Adhyātma Exposition

Guṇa–Ritual–Immanence Teaching

Educational Q&A

When a party rejects fair reconciliation and refuses to be established on an even-handed dharmic path, the result is collective ruin; the verse underscores the moral cost of obstinacy and the tragic inevitability of war when peace is made impossible.

Vaiśampāyana reports that ‘they’—understood in context as the Kaurava side—perished in the war along with their sons and relatives, after attempts at pacification and settlement failed.
