Ethics of Non-attachment
इन्द्रियाणीन्द्रियार्थाश्ष महाभूतानि पडच च
indriyāṇīndriyārthāś ca mahābhūtāni pañca ca | tataḥ svargam avāpnoti vimuktaḥ sarvabandhanaiḥ ||
Vāyu dit : Celui qui discerne avec justesse la nature véritable des sens et de leurs objets, ainsi que des cinq grands éléments, se trouve délivré de tout lien et, par là même, atteint le ciel. L’élan éthique est tourné vers l’intérieur : la libération ne s’obtient pas par des conquêtes au dehors, mais par une connaissance limpide et le détachement à l’égard des principes qui enchaînent la vie incarnée.
